Meeting between engineers in the robotic factory - tech factory

FAT: Factory Acceptance Test is a process that evaluates the equipment during and after the assembly process by verifying that it is built and operating in accordance with design specifications.

FAT Factory Acceptance Tests are done at the factory to make sure that certain requirements are met, which results in high-quality products.
The tests are normally done with the customer, and, in certain more demanding cases, with a third-party inspection agency.

SAT: Site Acceptance Testing is executed at the client’s site, whether systems are meeting the desired and required specifications. The main purpose of site acceptance testing is to give an overall evaluation of a system’s compliance and to ensure this compliance meets the requirements of the business involved.
